Not only will your home thank you... your family will thank you for leaving those harsh chemical concoctions at the store.

Living Rooms: Using J.R. Watkins Lemon Furniture Polish and a good microfiber cloth dust all the surfaces in your living room. This gentle polish is perfect for finished and unfinished wood, formica, particle board and vinyl. And because it is made from natural olive oil, it gently loosens and removes fingerprints, smudges and dirt. Here's a quick tip: Use a vacuum with a HEPA filter. It sucks up dust particles and doesn't spit them back out, so you don't have to dust what you have already dusted!

Kitchen: Many dishwashing detergents have a dirty little secret — they contain phosphates. These agents find their way into our lakes and ponds where they endanger our fish. Have a phosphate intervention with your dishwasher, J.R. Watkins Automatic Lemon Dishwashing Detergent can help. Its 100% phosphate free. The concentrated power will make your dishes and glasses sparkle without the need to overflow your dishwasher's detergent cups.

Bedrooms: We spend one third of our lives in bed. Wash bed linens and small rugs with this ultra concentrated formula. It is gentle enough for baby clothes, so you know it won't irritate sensitive skin. Quick tip: Vacuum your mattress. The common mattress harbors dust mites, these critters feast on dander and dead skin and really like to hang around. Vacuuming won't eliminate them, but it will cut their population.

Bathrooms: Do you have to hold your breath when cleaning your shower? It is a way of conducting life in an effort to preserve environmental quality.

Watkins is taking steps to preserve environmental quality in all of our product categories. But in this newsletter we want to focus on how our natural home care line is a step ahead of the rest.

Unlike food, the home care category has no governing agency that defines what ingredients are and are not considered "natural." Watkins wanted to make sure that when we called our cleaning products natural, it really meant something. So we decided to set a new standard, and we set it high. The natural standard we defined became our natural home care freedom code. This code includes ingredients that are considered harmful to the environment that you will not find in our home care products. Some are simply non-renewable like Petroleum, some can cause respiratory irritation like Ammonia, while others are just synthetics like dyes and colorants. Watkins has been working hard to set the industry standard for natural home care products and we are proud to say that there is no other natural cleaning brand in the country that holds themselves to a higher standard or a stricter freedom code than Watkins.

Now what does this freedom code mean to you and your customers? It means you get to use a product that truly is natural from a company committed to supplying you with natural products. Not only is it flavorful, adds moisture to your meals, it's healthy for you. Also, the price on our oil is awesome!

I love how I can alter the taste with our various dip mixes. Some of my favorites are the tomato & basil and the sesame garlic. You can add any dip mix and/or seasonings to the oil to create different dishes.

Here are just a few from our online recipe The Egyptians highly prized it as a health and diet food and Plinius described it as the 'food for the rich' because of the health problems contributed to a 'rich' life style - excessive in rich foods, fats and wine that led to liver illnesses (such as cirrhosis), gout and a general run down condition.

Today we know that the artichoke is very high in fibre, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus and other trace elements important for a balanced system. It is known to positively help poor liver function (thus helping to lower the blood cholesterol), arteriosclerosis, gout, supports the treatment of hepatitis and improves the gall secretions. It can slightly lower the blood sugar, improve the appetite and digestion, is diuretic and may help some migraine conditions (most especially those caused by toxins in the blood). As it helps the body rid itself of excess water and moves toxins it also has the added side effect of an improved skin luminosity.

Courtesy of: www.epicureantable.com~Biancahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08407892402612686577noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7987429492087188255.post-67341040978088155512008-01-04T14:51:00.000-05:002008-01-04T14:58:31.584-05:00Goat Cheese Dip

Ingredients
6 ounce(s) cheese, goat cheese, crumbled, reduced fat
1 tablespoon yogurt, fat-free plain
3-4 tbsp of Watkins Cucumber & Dill Dip Mix (use ID# 358211)
~ Available in 8 other flavors (use ID# 358211)
Parsley (use ID# 358211)
fresh raw vegetables for dipping

Preparation
Put the cheese, yogurt, and dip mix in bowl and blend.
